Wednesday, October 7, 2026 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM CT
Online

Join us on October 7, 2026, at 3:00-4:00pm CT for the inaugural webinar in CHESHIRE’s series, “Exploring De-Implementation in HIV Care.” Coordinated by Northwestern's HIV Implementation Science Coordination Initiative and hosted by the SEIS Hub, the one-hour webinar will feature a panel discussion with experts Callie Walsh-Bailey, PhD, MPH; Julia E. Szymczak, PhD; and David Kern. It will be moderated by Carolyn Audet, PhD, and Debbie Humphries, PhD.

De-implementation in HIV is the deliberate process of stopping, reducing, or replacing older HIV prevention and treatment practices that are now outdated, inefficient, or low value. The webinar will explore what de-implementation is, why it is important, and why it’s an integral part of implementation science. The webinar will include 45 minutes of panel discussion followed by 15 minutes for audience questions.

This webinar series brings together researchers, practitioners, and implementation partners to explore de-implementation concepts, methods, and real-world experiences. The six-part series begins fall 2026 and will run through spring 2027, with additional topic-focused webinar series to follow.
