Learning Objectives.
By the end of this lecture, participants will be able to:
(1) Describe how "NASEM's 5A's" provides a framework to categorize SDOH curricular content in undergraduate medical education (UME).
(2) Evaluate UME curricular content for fostering knowledge and skills at the clinical and systems level that can impact the social drivers of health.
(3) Determine which curricular strategies are more appropriate for teaching skills that can impact social drivers of health and go beyond the prevalence and pathophysiology of SDOH.
