Stay with God celebrates NCE’s 55th anniversary, exploring its founding to its lasting legacy, highlighting the traditions, milestones, and evolving impact of Black sacred music at Northwestern University. Join us to experience the exhibit and hear a special conversation with NCE co-founder Eileen Cherry-Chandler, moderated by Professor Ava Thompson Greenwell.
Documentary Screening: The Takeover | 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
On May 3-4, 1968, more than 100 students from student organizations For Members Only and the Afro-American Student Union led a protest calling for changes to improve the Black student experience at Northwestern. NUBAA hosts this documentary screening featuring firsthand accounts from the students who organized and participated in the protest.
